Rental Aircraft Terms

Midwest Executive does not offer credit. Payment for aircraft rental is due at the end of each flight, Payment may be made by cash, check, Mastercard/Visa/Discover, or prepaid (Block) account.

Aircraft rental fees are based on Hobbs meter time(engine running time). However, there are minimum charges based on the amount of time the aircraft is reserved or in your possession, whichever is greater.

The following scheduling minimums apply to all rentals:

If you reserve or possess an aircraft for less than 5 hours you will be charged the greater of actual Hobbs time or 1/2 hour.

If you reserve or possess an aircraft for 5 to 8 hours you will be charged the greater of actual Hobbs time or 2 hours.

If you reserve or possess an aircraft for 8 to 24 hours you will be charged the greater of actual Hobbs time or 3 hours.

All aircraft rental charges are wet rates, i.e., they include fuel and oil. Fuel purchased outside of Lee's Summit will be reimbursed according to the current price per gallon being charged to MEA, Inc. on our weekly fuel bill.

Subject to availability, headsets may be rented for $5.00 per flight.

ABOUT INSURANCE - Like most flight schools, Midwest Executive Aircraft has a comprehensive insurance package for our own interest but that coverage does not extend to our renters. In the event of an accident, you would be liable for any damage to property and bodily injury to your passengers and persons on the ground. Also, if the aircraft is damaged due to your negligence, the insurance company may attempt to collect damages from you to cover their loss. It is therefore strongly recommended that you purchase aircraft renters insurance to cover your own interests. Click here for a list of companies who offer this type of insurance.
