Midwest Executive Aircraft, Inc.

Rental Aircraft Operational Procedures

1. Always do a thorough preflight inspection of the airplane before each flight. Use the checklist before, during, and after each flight.

2. Fuel procedures: Never run out!! Note: if you are taking a flight outside the local area, always top off fuel at the Lee's Summit Airport.

3. If you are out of town and purchased fuel, we need a copy of the receipt with gallons and cost on the ticket to credit you or your account. We reimburse up to OUR current discounted price per gallon at Lee's Summit Airport. Check with us prior to your flight for the current reimbursement.

4. Please use hobbs time. Check before and after each flight.

5. "Sick-Sacs" should be in the seat pockets. Please inform your passengers and please pick up your litter after each flight.

6. Please use the control lock, if available, when parking the airplane. please do not set the parking brake.

7. No smoking is allowed in our airplanes! Not only is it hard on the interior and radios but it can also become a safety hazard. Smoking in the plane will result in loss of renting privileges.

8. For after-hours, please arrange to get the keys from us or from the front desk. You must have scheduled the airplane in advance in order for the keys to be made available to you. We must know who is flying our airplanes at all times.

9. No pets allowed in rental aircraft except in a cage, please and thank you.

10 Non-owners insurance is recommended. AOPA offers reasonable insurance policies for aircraft renters. Click here for more info.

11 Payment for rental aircraft is due after each flight unless you have an account set up with us in advance. Cash, check, mastercard, visa or discover is accepted.

12 All pilots are required to file a flight plan with flight service for all cross-country flights (50 nm or more) as well as have the appropriate endorsement (if a student) from their instructor in their logbook.

13. Please be considerate of your fellow pilots when scheduling flight time. When you schedule an airplane for a particular time out, please be ready to begin your pre-flight AT THAT TIME. Barring some unforeseen delay due to weather, mechanical or safety issues, you should plan to return in time to have the aircraft parked and ready for the next pilot at or before the end time you have scheduled.

14. We do not allow our student pilots to fly at night without an instructor with them, so please be home before dark!!

15. Last, but not least, we truly appreciate your business and hope that all your flights are safe, fun, and pleasantly memorable.
